# MentionMeter

> MentionMeter (https://mentionmeter.app) is a cheap self-serve check for any business. It reports whether AI assistants recommend that business when buyers ask, and what to fix.

MentionMeter is for local shops, restaurants, clinics, agencies, SaaS products, ecommerce brands, creators, and other businesses. A business can name a city or the word online. MentionMeter is not an SEO retainer and it does not require a login to a website, Google Business Profile, ads account, or analytics.

## Product

Buyers ask ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, and Perplexity who to choose. Those assistants answer with a short list of names. MentionMeter asks buyer-style questions for the business name, optional website, place (a city or online), and industry, then reports whether the business is mentioned.

The free offer is an AI Visibility Snapshot, delivered by email after a short signup. The Snapshot says whether the business was mentioned. It is not a 0–100 index. The paid offer is a $39 one-time full report. An optional $19/month re-check repeats the same kind of questions and does not start unless the customer adds it.

Sample reports on the website are labeled example data. The business “Northline” and every “Example …” line are stand-ins, not measurements of a real customer.

## How a mention is decided

MentionMeter asks buyer-style questions on ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, and Perplexity. For a city, the shape is “best [industry] in [city].” For online, the shape has no city. Mentioned means the business name appears in that assistant’s reply. Answers change. A check is a snapshot, not a guarantee of the next answer.
